Stuck in the airport but need to order some giant balloons for your holiday promotions? Can’t stand the thought of spending $9.95 for 10 minutes of WiFi?
You are in luck my friend!
MarketingVox is reporting today that some of the big search engines, Google, Microsoft’s Bing and Yahoo, are providing free wifi at 47 airports, various hotels and some travel destinations across the USA this holiday season. Google and eBay are also offering free Wi-Fi to in-flight passengers on Virgin America and Delta Airlines.
According to JiWire only 19% of Wi-Fi hotspots are free, though this statistic may be changing rapidly. While writing articles on balloon advertising in my neighborhood book store I was delighetd to learn that Wi-Fi was now FREE!
Love the free Wi-Fi! It’s maddening going to an expensive hotel, expensive to me anyway, and having to pay an additional $10-$20 per day for Internet access. Bummer!
The Bing promotion is particulary effective. One search on the new Bing search engine for free Wi-Fi. Sounds like a great deal to me. I like the new Bing and I think it will serve to keep Google on the cutting edge. It can only be good for us.
Get those giant balloons ordered and maybe work on that list for Santa at the same time.
Thank-you to Google, Bing, Yahoo and eBay for this gift.
